To celebrate my daughter’s 25th birthday we had dinner at Big Fire located in Universal’s CityWalk. I have to say I was impressed and plan to visit again. The atmosphere and decore is modern and open. Many tables are in view of the large kitchen with fire pit that is in closed in glass to keep the smoke smell out. The staff was courteous and helpful, making the experience more enjoyable.
The drinks were yummy and often boast of Floridian distillerie’s liquor. I had the Florida Sour which was refreshing and the birthday girl ordered a Lakeside Punch but her favorite drink of the night was an Adult Hot Chocolate with the liquor of your choice. She and my sister opted for peanut butter whiskey.

Dinner was good. My sister and I ordered and shared 2 apps, the Bourbon Cheese Fondue and Skillet Roasted Mussels. The mussels were a presentation in themselves, see the video below. They were good but I have had better. The cheese fondue was incredible and came with carrots, cauliflower, peppers, house made crackers, and bread. That cheese though! My daughter had a burger and enjoyed that as well.

By far the highlight of the evening was the Tableside S’mores.
We were so excited I forgot to take a picture of all the goodies. The dessert makes enough for 8 s’mores so perfect for a table of 4. There were Hershey’s Chocolate Bars, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, vanilla, chocolate, and regular marshmallows and enough graham crackers for all. The key to the sweet treat is to wait until the flame is big enough. We were a little impatient which made roasting the marshmallows take longer. But it was such a fun way to have dessert.

I will definitely eat at Bigfire again. It was a great way to celebrate a birthday or just enjoy a fun meal.
