Disney’s POP Century Resort

My husband and I took a long weekend and stayed at POP Century to celebrate his birthday. We had such a phenomenal time! I can’t wait to share it all with you.

As you can see from the video the room was pretty basic. POP Century is considered a value resort. There was plenty of room for the two of us. We had a comfy queen bed and a Murphy bed over the table. The bathroom consisted of a walk in shower and a separate sink area which is nice for getting ready. There is a lighted makeup mirror near the sink which is really nice. Basic amenities were available coffee maker, mini fridge, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Our last night there we had some noisy neighbors. The sound seemed to come right under the door between both rooms but other than that it was an adequate room

Let’s talk about the location of the room. We sprung for the little more expensive Preferred Pool View category. And I would book this room again unless they had just a preferred room without the pool view which I do not think they had available upon booking. Why? Location! Location! Location! The preferred rooms are located directly behind the resort lobby making it a quick walk to the buses, dining, and the resort store. And these buildings are just as close to the Skyliner in the opposite direction. Definitely worth the little bit extra we paid for. The pool view was nice but could be a little noisy during the day.

The main pool at POP Century located directly behind the lobby.

The pool was perfect. It was large enough that even when it was busy there were still plenty of places to sit and room in the pool. I do wish there were some more umbrellas available. It was HOT! Shade would have made the pool time even more enjoyable.

The lobby is large with memorabilia from each decade. There is a large arcade and store/cafeteria, which is being refurbished later this month.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at POP. It is a value resort but the theming is great for kids and having the Skyliner on property was really nice.
