All American Magic Kingdom Snacks

During our afternoon visit to Magic Kingdom today I tried 2 cult classics and all American favorites in celebration of the 4th of July weekend.

Tiana’s Famous Beignets in Magic Kingdom.

Our first stop was at the Golden Oak Outpost for Tiana’s Famous Beignets. I know I questioned the all American too but New Orleans is in the US. These beignets are yummy and a great addition to the sweet treats available. But they do not compare to the Mickey beignets at Scat Cat’s Club at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter. And it’s not just the magical shape. The beignets at the French Quarter resort are pillowy goodness with a choice of three dipping sauces chicory chocolate ganache, my favorite, salted caramel, also yummy, or strawberry. Not that these fried Mickey’s of goodness need a sauce, it just a bonus! The MK beignets are rectangular pockets with honey drizzled over them. Both types of beignets are covered in a healthy amount of sweet powdered sugar, but found myself missing the chewy dough in the center. As a sweet treat Tiana’s beignets will do the trick, but don’t expect the same level of goodness as the French Quarter Mickey version.

Chili dog meal from Casey’s Corner.

Next stop was Casey’s Corner. For as many times as I’ve been to Magic Kingdom I don’t recall ever eating there. I guess because I’m not a huge hotdog fan but with it being 4th of July weekend I thought it was appropriate. I ordered a chili dog and my husband chose the corn dog nuggets. Both meals came with tasty French fries. The corn dog nuggies were yummy, I understand the following! The chili dog was delicious the bun was soft the hot dog itself was large and had a nice snap to the skin. The chili and cheese were the perfect compliment. They also have a foot long version available but I couldn’t finish the one I ordered. Casey’s Corner is a solid Mobile Order option while at the park.
